Digital Cartridges on Gypsy

Cricut Craft Room Update: Digital purchases can be put on a Gypsy now. After you purchase your digital cartridge, you’ll need to sync your Gypsy with Cricut Sync-http://www.cricut.com/cricutsync/. Once the Gypsy is synced, those cartridges will be available to on the Gypsy. The only time this isn’t the case is if you happen to purchase something that has not yet been loaded into the Gypsy Content Update (which is updated monthly on Hello Thursday).

To be clear, the above is only true for digital purchases. If you link a physical cart to Cricut Craft Room, those will not get added to the Gypsy…yet. We are working on this. Thanks!

Melting Crayola Art

I did something different today. I painted a canvas with black acrylic paint then hotglued crayons on to it. I used my emboss gun and melted them and let it drip down. I like the art on its side better, looks like the crayons were racing, at least that is what my brain says.

I made a  video in highspeed watch me melt.

New Mini Ribbon Holder

I made enough ribbon holders now for all my ribbon, and they are color coded with the ribbon but then I had these left overs of the small rolls, they are only about 2" in diameter compared to 3" so I decided to make a ribbon holder for the small rolls so they fit better, with out rolling around. They are the same length, but shorter and not as wide
The red one is regular size and the green one is the mini.
I made these using the Craft Room Basics Cartridge that is free for everyone.
Cut file for regular ribbon holder.

Bradley was visited by an angel over the weekend.

It wasn't the kind of angel you see on top of a Christmas tree, and definitely not the singing kind we hear on high.

This angel walked into the Bradley Walmart store and anonymously paid off $1,000 worth of random layaway accounts.

"This was an individual from a working-class background," said five-year store co-manager Joe Phillips. "This person heard about the (layaway payoff) in the news and came in with a specific plan.

"The money was to go toward toys and children's things, not for a TV or something big like that."... For the unabridged version of this story, subscribe to The Daily Journal's print edition or E-edition.

Another Christmas Card

Here is a Christmas Card I put together really fast. I made a video for the newbies to see how I did it. I used one of the snowmen I had left over from the Girl Scout party. I also used a snowflake border from the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake cartridge, I have welded the the border together and then made if fit the top layers of my cards 3 1/4" wide. In the cut file I have 30 borders so I had plenty for Christmas Cards. Here is the cut file for the snowflake border.

Wrapped Gift Card Holder

Using the 3D Bows and Craft Room Basics Cartridge I made a cute little wrapped gift card holder another cut way to give a gift card. There are a lot of Grandmas and Grandpas that just give gift cards or money and this is another way to make that special.

Top
Bottom
This is very easy, I have the cutfile done for you all you have to do is download the file and cut. You do need the 3D bows cartridge to cut the bow but not the card holder. But isn't that what makes it special? If you are not sure how to use cut files please go here and watch the video to make it easy.

Here is a video showing you how make the wrapped gift card holder.

This is for a Challenge Curt Jensons Blog, the creator of 3D Bows.

Gift Card Ornament

When I used to get money from Grandmas or my parents they would always have the envelope in the tree, I didn't mind I was happy to get money, but it made the tree ugly. So, I designed a gift card holder that is also an ornament to hang in the tree. I designed it using the Cricut Craft Room (CCR) and I used the Free cartridge so everyone can cut this for free. If you are unsure of how to download a file go here.  Here is the file I created using Cricut Craft Room Basics cartridge.

If you are unsure of how to put it together make sure you watch the videos.  The second video is part 1 and that is more of a tutorial for CCR using this cut file, when you cut with your cricut make sure you cut all layers at same time. The part 1 video will show you how if you don't know.

Watch the First video just to see the finished product, it is only 1 minute long, but you will see all the glitter, looks much better in video.

Girl Scout Christmas Party

OMG! I am tired now. I just got back the Christmas party for Brownies and Daisys, they start at age 5, 17 girls, do I have the scene set? I helped them make Christmas cards and was really surprised at how well they did, I had every thing cut but they picked out the color of papers and which images to use, they picked out the ribbon and then where to place everything. I also brought my cuttle bug and they embossed their own paper, they thought that was so cool. I put the paper in their choice of folder and they cranked it. They really loved making the card. Here are the pictures.

Here are the Goodie bag purses I made and my sister filled, each girl got one.

New Digital Cartridges

I see 2 more Digital cartridges- New Years Eve 2012 and 3D Chinese Lanterns
For some reason they say they out of stock right now, not sure how they can be out of stock on a digital cartridge, because they do not give us anything physical. They are $9.95 each and I can see other uses for both of these. New Years eve has fire works, wine bottle lable, party hat, Mardi gras mask this may be a good purchase. Here is the digital handbook for New Years Eve Chinese Lanturn has six lanterns or boxes. Here is the digital handbook for 3D Chinese Lanterns
See all the digital cartridges here.

Girl Scout Crhistmas Party- Almost Ready

As some of you know I have been working hard on the Christmas party for my niece's Girl Scout troop. The party is Monday night, so it will soon be over. I have finally made the items for the cards we are going to make, they don't have much time for this project so I prepared as mucxh as I can ahead of time, and some of them are only 5 yrs old.

So do you think I made enough for 17 girls?

10 snowmen
12 penguins
 4 wreaths
6 sets of pepermint circles
6 set of 4 trees
6 sets of 3 stockings
and 30 snow flake borders 1" by 3.25 " on sparkle paper
I made 30 cause that's how many fit on a 12x12 paper.

Everything is very sparkly with glitter. I have the cards ready and layers cut out so the girls  can glue to each other, and pick the colors they want, I have red, green and white, in various sizes so they can pick what color layers. I added 3D foam squares to the back of the snow men and pengueins and will bring some extras, this wat tey just have to peel the backing off the squares and stick. I will also be showing how to add ribbon to the card and will be bringing lots of Christmas ribbon. I used Cricut Cartridge Winter Frolic for all these cuts. Here is the cut file for the snowmen. Cut file for Penguins and wreaths all from Winter Frolic.

Purse Goodie Bags

I made purses to use as goodie bags for the little girl scouts, I don't think I will have time to decorate them, but I would love to add a rhinstone to that little circle on the front of these, and maybe some ribbon. If you watch the video you will see how I added velcro to each to keep it closed. I used 12x12 glitter paper from Joanns. The first half of video I also made 2 other purses from the Forever Young Cricut cartridge, but my sister liked this one the best so this is what we went with. My sister will be filling these with goodies. I will post pictures from the Girl Scout Christmas party with the crafts they make and their purses. I also have the cut file for 3 purses, to be as large as you can make them on 12x12 paper.

Girl Scout Party

I have not posted any thing latley because I have been getting ready to help at my nieces girl scout Christmas party. My sister told the leader I was a craft Queen, now I have to perform. So the last few day I am making some things so the girls ( starting at age 5) can make some Christmas cards. I will have some thing prepared, that is what I am doing now. I am going to teach them how to put a card together, I will have it all cut, and images together to save time. I will show how to use ribbon on the card and I will have the main image on pop up squares so they can just peel the back off and stick it on. I am also bringing my Cuttlebug and let them emboss the top layer to the card with it. I am also in charge of them making an ornament, with in the 1 hour and 30 min meeting while they also have time for games. Now do you see why I am preparing most of it?

I also plan on making some purses with the Forever Young cartridge and fill with goodies for each of the 17 girls, plus a few extra just in case. I put my sister in charge of the goodies.

So here is a picture of a few of the things I have ready, the wreaths are really pretty in person, so are the penguins, I can't capture the glitter.
And of course here is a short video.
Here is the cut file for penguins.

Here is the cut file for wreaths.

Snow Globe Christmas Card

I created this card with the free cartridge in the Cricut Craft Room, Craft Room Basics, everyone is able to cut with it. I used glitter tulle for the snow globe effect glued between the front red piece and the inner whit piece. The video I have shows me doing everything. I used the Winter Frolic cartridge to do the snowman and trees, so if you download the cut file and you do not have the Winter Frolic cartridge then just delete the pieces for the snowman and trees, and then click save and exit out and open it back up. You can add your own images to the inside.
