Princess Banner

Hi Everyone, I am so sorry I have not been posting as much, I am going to try to get back into it.

I made this Banner for Ava, her mom is having a challenge to make ava something for her 5th birthday, she said it could be a card or anything we want to make. So, I thought I would make her a banner she could hang in her room all year round.

I used Cricut cartridge, Once Upon A Princess, Rock Princess for the font, Edge to Edge for the flower back ground and Art Philosophy for the base of the banner. Ribbons and Rosettes for the rosettes.

I added lots of glitter glue to the butterfly and the horn and mane on the unicorn and the word Princess. Those 3 images and the Princess girl on the last piece all came from Once Upon A Princess.

I used a pink Boa to string all the pennants on. I used tulle on her dress and used my Cuttlebug with wood grain embossing folder on her hair. I added glitter glue to her crown, dress and wand. I even used brown stickles to put a sparkle in her eye. I used the Swirls Cuttlebug folder on the top layer of each letter. I put the princess and unicorn on action wobbles and popped up the butterfly.

Below I included a video of me making the banner and her opening my banner and a few other things from other crafters as well.

Haunted House

Hope everyone is enjoying their October.

I have my haunted House scene, this did take me 12 hours, I did it over 2 days. I used A Frightful Affair, Happy Hauntings, Chic and Scary and Oct 31st Cricut cartridges.

I did get the videos down to 2 videos both under 20 min, the first part of both videos show the finish project. I did flocking in both videos and some things I had to cut out with scissors.  I used black adhesive I made my self and put cation tape made of washi tape over the door. I did a whole lot of inking too but do not bore you with all the details or the video would be 3 hours long.

This is video 1 Mostly just the house.

The second video is every thing else.

Flying Bats

Hi Everyone, I am so sorry I have not updated my blog lately, I have just been so busy. I am going to set up a few in advance for you. My haunted house scene is coming soon!

Today I have my bats, these bats came from Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge! The bigger bats near the bottom I did cut out the layer with the same color paper and then out lines it with white ink and used black foam adhesive to pop the head out more. I put them on the wall with my ATG gun.

Here is the video!
Thank You so much for looking!

Spooky Window Decor

Hi Everyone,

This is a cut from the Cricut Craft Room Spooky Window Decor exclusive. This actually comes in 2 cuts that I have welded together to just make one. It would be really cool to have it much bigger and you could do pretty big on a 12x24 mat and then fit the 2 pieces together. You can download my cut file here.

I colored in the spider with a black marker and the used the Zig  2 way glue pen on the spider and covered with Martha Stewart Ebony flocking powder.
Here is a close up of the spider.
And you can see more in the video below.
Thanks for Looking!

3D Crow

Hi Everyone,
I made this 3D Crow from October 31st cartridge. This one is not my idea, I download the cut file from Cricut Project Center. The drawing in feathers, hanging and mouse in the mouth was my idea.
The crow comes with 2 feet on the cut, like the picture here. You do have to cut the bottom feel off and then adhere 2 together but only at head and body, NOT the legs and wings.
You then bend back the wings and feet.  I did make a pin hole in the upper wing of only one of them and used invisible thread to hang from the ceiling.

I used the mice I made and added one to each side of the crows mouth, so it would look the same on both sides. Click here to see how I did the Mice

Don't forget to check out the video, where you can see how I do it.

Thanks for looking and you can go to the Cricut Project Center to see how they did it and download the cut file.

Flocked Mice

Hi Everyone!
I made some mice for my Halloween decorations. There were cut out from the A Frightful Affair Cricut cartridge while it was free in Cricut Craft Room. I used a glue stick to over the body, not feet and tail and then sprinkled with pewter colored Martha Stewart Flocking powder. I used an Enamel Accents for the eyes. In CCR there are 3 of these together so I did hide contour so I could cut out individually.

You can see more in the video.

Thanks for stopping by!

Gargoyles

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to share my Gargoyles I made from the Free cartridge A Frightful Affair, I think this is the 3rd week in a row it has been free in Cricut Craft Room.
I just stumbled upon this image, at first I thought it was a bat. It is the same key as the letter L and the word Evil.
I made my own adhesive foam in black so you would not be able to see the white foam adhesive. The bottom 2 layers I adhered together at the feet with out foam and 1 layer of foam at head. The next layer I used 2 layers of foam adhesive so the front feet of gargoyle would stand out more. The top layer, the head, I used 3 layers of adhesive.

You can not see by the pictures but can in video, but I used prism paper, behind the head, so the eyes change when you look at them and move them. I am showing 2 different Gargoyles I made in the pictures here.
I shaded the gargoyles with ink by studio G and a foam brush. You will see in video.

Stabbing Halloween Decor

Hi Everyone,

I am getting ready for Halloween, we are having a decorate your station contest at work and we have to have it ready by October 1st. I have already made a Trick or Treat banner with letter written in blood and now this knife and arm from A Frightful Affair Cricut cartridge, I do Not own this cartridge but it was free for a week in Cricut Craft Room so I took full advantage of it and have another project coming up with it too.

Here is a close up of the arm, I used chalk pastels to add detail to make it more realistic. I used a pencil to add hair on knuckles and arm, used pastels to make moles and blue veins that you can not see well in picture but they are there you can see better in video. I stamped the tattoo on with ink from CTMH slate color. You can see me to the entire arm in high speed in my video.

For the blood on the end of knife I used red paper and covered it with Glossy Accents, to make is look wet.

I know this is kinda creepy. I don't like violence, but I like scary.

Here is the video, Enjoy.

Cricut Craft Room Tutorials

Hi Everyone!

I am making a series of Cricut Craft Room Tutorials. I have made 6 videos so and plan to make more soon.
If you have never tried CCR watch and it will not seem so intimidating.

The first one is for extreame beginners and will show where to download it and introducing you to CCR.

The 2nd video is about images, auto fill, bookmarking searching, and more.

The third video shows you how to upload and down load cut files.
Brings you to the project center at Cricut.com

The 4th video is all about mats, some people that are using CCR have learned a lot from this video.

The 5th Video in the series is about Layers, This was the most asked for video and some say I have made CCR much more clear now. You will see how to size everything to match up and easily fit the layers on an object.

The 6th video is all about linking your cartridges to CCR, I actually had trouble with a specific cartridge and called Cricut Support and recorded the call, you will see it here.

I got the cartridge on sale for $24.99 Reg. $29.99

It does not have an overlay with it.

This is from my daily vlogging YouTube channel

Here is a video showing the handbook and then a few project examples at the end.

Cricut Craft Room Tutorial Videos

Hi Everyone! I have made a Cricut Craft Room tutorial video series. This has been asked for by many so I am here to share what I know about the software, I have even learned more about it as I make it.

If you have any questions please ask in the comments and I will try to answer there because if you have a question I believe more will have the same question so you are helping others by asking.

You can go to the playlist of CCR videos and they will all play continually and as I add more there will be more here.

This First video is for beginners with the Cricut, I show Cricut.com and signing in and the message boards as a great way to share and find information. Show you where to download Cricut Craft Room.

The second video is about the images, where to find them and a little on editing them.

Third video is all about downloading and uploading CCR cut files.

The forth video in the series is about the mats, and how to add more and why. How to hide the mats and more.

The 5th video is the last one as of today but should be more tomorrow. This is a good one even if you are using CCR already, people seam to learn from it when they thought they knew the software already. I use Teddy Bear Parade to show the Real Dial size button and Relative Size button and layers with many mats but then cutting on only 1 mat.

Some people will know more than me and if you do and want to point something out I am happy to learn something new.

Please Subscribe to my YouTube channel and like and share the videos if you know someone who might find them useful.
